VASP is better with independent or shared cache on Intel processors?

Could somebody here please confirm me with what we just found regarding L2 cache for Intel processors?

We recently found out that shared L2 cache on Intel Xeon 5130 is not good for VASP.

What about dedicated/independent L2 cache on Intel or Amd processors?

What are your experiences with this area?

Thank you.
