dielectric function outputs
Hi everyone,
First post here: I am working mainly with optical calculations, as such I am using the GW in some cases to compare to the OPTIC package calculations. I was wondering about the output from the GW style calculations, there are four headers
HEAD OF MICROSCOPIC DIELECTRIC TENSOR
REDUCIBLE POLARIZABILTY
INVERSE MACROSCOPIC DIELECTRIC TENSOR (including local field effects in RPA (Hartree))
screened Coulomb potential
looking at the results the first 3 usually look identical, whereas the 'screened Coulomb potential' is markedly different (much larger imaginary part)
I am usually looking at metals like aluminium
can anyone give me, or point me towards an explanation of the different outputs?
much obliged!
